Love Hurts: Woman Turns Hawker Stall into Budget Kung Fu Movie
Published:
SINGAPORE – In a dramatic display of post-breakup rage, a 37-year-old woman took emotional baggage to a whole new level—by swinging a cleaver at two unsuspecting hawker stall employees.
The incident unfolded at a Chinatown food stall last night when customers expecting a quiet meal were instead treated to a live-action remake of Kill Bill. Witnesses reported hearing loud shouting before the woman, fueled by either heartbreak or an unfortunate horoscope reading, lunged at the employees, leaving the floor covered in more sauce than the kitchen intended.
One worker suffered cuts to the abdomen and shoulder, while another got an unexpected manicure with a knife. A bystander, who heroically intervened, also received a minor injury—confirming that no good deed goes unpunished.
Police arrived swiftly, sealing off the scene and recovering what is believed to be the weapon of mass heartbreak. The woman was arrested on charges of "romantic overreaction with a deadly weapon," and authorities are still investigating whether the attack was premeditated or just a really bad first date.
Meanwhile, the hawker stall is considering renaming one of their dishes to "Breakup Special: Extra Sharp."
