J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter trio casts

J.K. Rowling Claims Harry Potter Trio Made Films Worse—Fans Say “Nice Try”

Published:

LONDON – J.K. Rowling, the ever-unbothered and perpetually online creator of Harry Potter, has once again fired shots at the franchise’s lead actors, blaming them for making the films “less enjoyable.” This comes after years of public feuding over trans rights, with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint openly disagreeing with her views.

While Rowling stopped short of suggesting The Boy Who Lived should have Died on Set, her latest jab seemed to imply that had the trio been more supportive of her opinions, their acting might have magically improved. Fans, however, were quick to remind her that no amount of loyalty could have saved Goblet of Fire’s chaotic wig choices or Dobby’s horrifying CGI.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter/X users wasted no time in brewing their own potions of mockery. One user wrote, “Hard to say if the trio made the movies worse, but Cursed Child made the entire franchise unwatchable.” Another commented, “Imagine blaming actors for your own bad writing. Voldemort had a nose for sniffing out problems better than this.”

As the war between Rowling and her Potter stars drags on, it remains unclear whether the franchise will ever find peace—or if Rowling’s next spell will be aimed at the Fantastic Beasts cast for failing to save that disaster.
